Huckleberry Gold Chandelier

Aviva Stanoff is a renowned textile designer based in Southern California. For the last 15 years, her work in the design industry has spanned working for luxury fashion houses, designing her own line of home accessories and travelling the world to develop beautiful textiles not only for her own collection but for clients. Her collection for Currey & Company showcases her love of the natural world, Japanese background and affinity for urban life.
Aviva was able to cultivate her love of design through growing up in a remote part of Northern California redwoods, summers spent around her grandfather’s Buddhist temple in Japan and going on to work in the design industry in New York City. After working as a textile designer for some of the world’s biggest names in luxury fashion, she developed her signature printing technique of pressing real objects into fabric. Since the success of her first line of decorative pillows, she has continued to receive international recognition for her work, which imbues a combination of sophistication, innovation and subtlety to everything she creates.

One of Aviva’s most recent pursuits through her collection with Currey is the use of nature as inspiration. The Golden Eucalyptus Chandelier, at left, features contemporary gold leaf branches. “Being a California native, eucalyptus has always surrounded me. The scent is smooth, minty and elegant, always evoking a sense of home and shelter. With the products in this eucalyptus family, we pulled branches from mother nature's gardens for inspiration.”
