About Our Company
Currey & Company is a wholesale manufacturer of distinctive home furnishings, including lighting, furniture and accent pieces. Our reputation for innovative furnishings spans the residential, contract and hospitality spaces, and Currey products are found in interiors around the world.
Our vision, to create distinctive home furnishings, has never wavered. Our mission, to serve our customers, owners and employees in an exemplary manner while nurturing a culture that encourages all to flourish, has remained steadfast for more than 30 years.
We are a diverse mix of people who work together and take pride in our work, but this wouldn’t be the case were it not for the spirit the Currey family instilled into the weave of our company, which is still maintained by our leadership today.
Who We Are
Though we are known today for our lighting and furniture, we began our existence as a purveyor of historic garden furnishings in 1988 when Robert and Suzanne Currey founded Garden Source Furnishings. You might say our founding began when a small boy set up his mother’s ironing board in a closet under the stairs, raided the pantry and began selling its contents to his mom. This budding entrepreneur, Robert B. Currey, admits, “I never imagined that I was going to do anything else but be in the store business.”

Being a retailer has captured Robert’s fascination ever since, a passion shared by his wife Suzanne and our current CEO Brownlee Currey. What began as a party of two is now a vibrant business that employs approximately 550 professionals spread around the globe—from our headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, to Currey International in the Philippines, India and China; and our International Sales Office in Hong Kong.
There is a common thread that runs through our entire history, and that is the spirit of creativity. The use of natural materials, attention to details, time-honored craftsmanship and product designs influenced by authenticity, design history and timely trends are all part of the creative process at Currey & Company.
What We Do
We are known for our lighting products, such as chandeliers, wall sconces, table and floor lamps and outdoor lighting. In the last decade, however, we have added extensive lines of furniture, upholstery and accessories as meaningful parts of our collection. In doing so, we now offer a true a floor-to-ceiling shopping experience to our customers.
Our original design work brings us immense pride.
Currey employs approximately 550 professionals spread around the globe—from our headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, to Currey International in the Philippines, India and China; and our International Sales Office in Hong Kong. We are represented by sales reps in the United States and internationally, and we display our offerings in permanent showrooms in Atlanta, Dallas, High Point, Las Vegas and New York. Our products are also sold through a variety of retail venues and designer studios.
Our original design work brings us immense pride. Our exceptionally talented design team imbues our signature richness and depth to our entire product offering. They enable us to produce the beautiful yet structurally superior pieces that embody the authenticity, use of natural materials and hand-craftsmanship that are our trademark.
