The Verona Black Secretary Desk is darkly handsome covered in black lacquered linen with metal detailing in a champagne finish. The stretchers on this black desk create added interest to enhance its flair. The beautifully detailed drawer pulls, which are wrapped in matching material in the middle and left bare on each end, grace each drawer with their metallic sheen. The top folds down on this classic piece to reveal a desktop, a center-adjustable shelf, two fixed shelves, built-in power outlets, and two USB ports. Aimee Kurzner designed the chic piece that also has three large drawers.
The Vichy Chandelier was created by Suzanne Duin, who founded the Houston shop and design studio Maison Maison, and is known for a keen eye in sourcing authentic French antiques and home accessories from around the globe. Each piece in her line of woven light fixtures is handmade by artisans in Southeast Asia; the Vichy an example in abaca rope and wrought iron in a mix of contemporary gold leaf and contemporary gold finishes. The finely shaped braided edges reflect Parisian style and the overall composition will brings both texture and French flair.
The Faux Tortoise Box Set is made of black and brown mottled composite. The chic pattern has been popular in interiors for centuries, which makes these brown decorative boxes timeless. Adding interest and texture to a room, tortoiseshell acts as a neutral, so it works with any color scheme and every design style from modern to traditional. These boxes will be durable because they have solid wood interiors.
Tom Caldwell designed the Bective Table Lamp with its urn-shaped body that sits between two thin stems. He was aiming to create a smaller accent lamp that was somewhat traditional but with cleaner forms. In the process, he manifested a complex design with its cascading shapes. Made of aluminum, the gold table lamp has an antique brass finish on the metal, which contrasts the black granite base. The lamp is topped with an empire-shaped off-white linen shade.
The point at which art and fine craftsmanship meet is where the Acea Graphite Drinks Table resides. Made of cast aluminum poured into a hammered mold to create even greater texture, the silver drinks table is topped with a cast glass disc that is equally textural and luminous. This table will be a piece of jewelry in a space. The Acea Graphite Side Table was also a bestseller.
The Etiquette Chandelier is a mid-century-modern inspired chandelier made of metal in an antique brass finish. The telescoping stems hold semi-transparent bone china cups in graduating shapes that resemble tea cups. The luminous material softens the light that reflects from within. This gold chandelier was designed by Ian Thornton to be an uplight fixture with glowing shades.
The Vichy Wall Sconce was created by Suzanne Duin, who founded the Houston shop and design studio Maison Maison, and is known for a keen eye in sourcing authentic French antiques and home accessories from around the globe. Each piece in her line of woven light fixtures is handmade by artisans in Southeast Asia; the Vichy an example in abaca rope and wrought iron in a mix of contemporary gold leaf and contemporary gold finishes. The finely shaped braided edges reflect Parisian style, and the overall composition brings both texture and French flair.
The Gallo Bronze Floor Lamp is a clean and simple design with a casted texture that is further accented by the bronze finish, which highlights the character in the material. The bronze lamp, which will infuse a room with a chic vibe, introduces style without too heavy a profile. Aimee Kurzner designed the Gallo line of products. The floor lamp is topped with a natural linen shade.
Design notes on the Nottaway Bronze Large Two-Tier Chandelier include long arms that stretch gracefully from small cogs and a ring that ornaments its bottom-most point. The profile of the fixture has a lovely fluidity to it, and the Pyrite bronze finish adds textural interest to the bronze chandelier. This statuesque chandelier is decidedly in the traditional design category, but its airiness allows it to function in a range of large rooms.
The Diza Round Black Mirror has a profile that is just as interesting from the side as it is from the front. This is because the wood pieces, which taper and are fitted in by hand, splay outward on both the exterior and the interior of the black mirror. The depth this creates will make the decorative mirror a commanding element in a space. Both the very subtle crackle effect created by the woodgrain and the shape are textural details.
Made of composite to have a pearlized feel to it, the Perlas Swirl Box Set will bring an ethereal sheen to a room. The interiors of the peach-colored boxes are natural wood over which the composite is seamlessly wrapped. Designer Aimee Kurzner continues her material exploration in boxes with this set of contemporary accessories.
The Indeo Morel Cabinet is an intricate piece of furniture. Made of two sizes of solid oak slats that are clad in oak veneers and inset into the frame, the piece is covered in a morel brown finish. A unique design detail is the peek-a-boo illumination that can be seen through the doors when they are open because of the spacing between the ribs of wood. The two-door cabinet sits cleverly on iron legs with generously sized stretchers connecting them in a black finish. The cabinet has cord management openings in it for electronics.
Hiroshi Koshitaka envisioned the Saisei Medium Chandelier as one of a number of fixtures he sees as fulfilling the concept that encompasses the acts involved in regeneration and reproduction as we restore, revive, and experience regrowth and rebirth. Rattan flows artfully around a spiral wrought iron frame in a khaki finish, which is tonally in sync with the natural color of the material. The otherworldly shape of this rattan chandelier was inspired by outer space — galaxies in the universe come to light.
A delightfully geometric composition, the Morena Table Lamp is made of sections of Rosa Cappuccino Marble, Camello Neve Marble, and Breccia Marble. Designed by Aimee Kurzner, the multi-colored lamp is fitted with a beige poplin shade that is fastened with an orb finial, which matches the top Rosa Cappuccino marble ball. Because this contemporary lamp is made of natural stone, colors and patterns will vary.
A true masterpiece of Mother Nature's doing, the Prado Drinks Table gleans its personality from the Nero Saint Laurent marble, imported from Italy, that forms its base and top. The striations of color on the blocky piece and the round disc, connected by a metal stem in a black finish, are artfully beautiful.
The Parnell White Pendant was designed by Clarence Mallari to resemble a large bell, but with a delicate sophistication due to the fineness of the Kraft Paper twine. The string is double-wrapped on both the outside and the inside of the wrought iron in a Gesso White finish. A frosted white glass globe is the finishing touch that allows this pendant to create a lovely glow.
Intermingling the past and the present, the Plisse Small Vase, shown above with the Medium Vase, is made of 3D-printed ceramic to place it at the crossroads of the ancient and futuristic worlds. The fact that a machine fashioned it looks forward; while the kiln in which it was fired just as it would have been centuries ago, looks back. The result is a contemporary white vase that reads like a masterpiece made by hand.
Tom Caldwell created a light profile for the Ippolito Brass Console Lamp and wrapped a portion of the stem near the base in jute rope. The stacked base, the rings that flank the rope, the long thin stem, and the finial are in an antique brass finish. The off-white linen shade is a pale element on the dressy console lamp that was designed to be a decorative and functional accent in a space.
The Sweetheart Wall Sconce is a nature-inspired design by Tom Caldwell. Made of metal in a Gesso White finish, the floral fixture opens its petals to its light source. The white wall sconce can be mounted so that the fixture reflects light up rather than down if desired.
The playful profile of the Charny Chandelier makes this a charming addition to a room. The white chandelier is made of composite with a White Gesso finish. The leaf-like shapes that extend from the stems of the Charny make this a terrific luminary for a space inspired by nature. The textural natural shades made of coarse linen add a dash of warmth to the design.
The Piaf Brass Floor Lamp is made of cast aluminum in a luminous gold finish that will make it gleam from its spot in a room. The whimsical design has three birds perched on twigs extending from a branch-like stem that disappears under the off-white linen shade. This nature-inspired floor lamp was designed by Aimee Kurzner.
A seriously clever design, the Capriole Rattan Wall Sconce looks as if it is made of a floating stem of natural material when viewed from the front, but when seen from the side, the bow-shaped hardware that attaches it to the backplate creates a dynamic design detail. The way the minimal metal bands clasp the stem creates further interest. To contrast the natural rattan, Clarence Mallari, the designer of the fixture, chose a satin black finish for the metal.
Ethereal in its overall vibe, the Bon Vivant Large Semi-Flush Mount was designed by Tom Caldwell. The discs that effervesce with illumination are made of Capiz shells ringed in a decorative metal edge that matches the gold finish on the rest of the fixture. The thinness of the wires that fasten the discs to the frame and to each other is a sophisticated design detail. This gold semi-flush is convertible to a chandelier when the lower canopy is removed.
When a soft glow is desired, milk glass is one of the best materials to diffuse illumination. Our Daze Uplight Table Lamp is made of articulated panels of white milk glass that are joined together by ribs of metal in an antique brass finish. This white table lamp with its contemporary profile provides a soft, luminous glow.
A design detail of note on the bell-shaped Pendulum Pendant are the varying sizes and shapes of the wood beads and how they are strung in tandem. Elongated round shapes are interspersed with rhombus-shaped beads to make this an artful creation. The Coco Cream finish on the metal is perfectly in sync with the natural hues in the wood on this bohemian-inspired piece.
Bring a little piece of cave-dwelling history into a room with the Marble Fish that is "sketched" on a piece of natural marble by a process that scrapes away the surface of the stone to expose the design. A wonderful decorative element for bookshelves or vignettes, this organically shaped sculpture will be a conversation starter when spotted among a sophisticated collection of decorative accessories.
The Alithea Medium Semi-Flush Mount is made of brass in an antique brass finish. The petals on this nature-inspired gold sconce have been hand-hammered to give them lifelike personality. Designed by Tom Caldwell, the floral semi-flush will be a pretty addition to any space it illuminates. The button-like bulbs bring the metal a luminous sheen.
The Desert Storm Vase Set includes two oblong-shaped vases with multi-colored swirling patterns on their surfaces. The spiraling colors convey the feel of the wind as it blows sand around; the dynamic feel of the movement difficult for glassblowers to achieve given the vases are mouth-blown while the boiling glass is twisted to achieve.
