A Few Offerings in The Main Event Sale
In the Sasha Bikoff Collection, the Liquid Gold Console Table lives up to its name, as the brass from which the console table is made, in a luminous gold finish, seems to be liquifying as it drips from the matte top. Living up to her reputation of designing products that add bling to a space, this new addition to her collection will do just that.
The Golden Eucalyptus Rectangular Chandelier in the Aviva Stanoff Collection is a nature-inspired gold chandelier made from metal in a contemporary gold leaf finish. Stanoff says of this family of products, “Being a California native, eucalyptus has always surrounded me. The scent is smooth, minty and elegant, always evoking a sense of home and shelter. With the products in this eucalyptus family, which includes this gold chandelier, we pulled branches from mother nature's gardens for inspiration.”
Designed by Tom Caldwell, the Sheba Table Lamp has a geometric-shaped body that has been covered with laminated mother-of-pearl shell. The white table lamp features a matt finish on the shell surface and is accentuated with an optic crystal base. The shade is a cylinder shape in perfect scale with the overall design, which is made of an off-white linen fabric.
A composition of natural horn, our Hyson Medium Square Mirror spotlights the detailing required to make pieces of an elemental material appear seamless. Outlined in Sheesham wood, this tan mirror is is such an artisanal piece because the horn is hand-chiseled for an uptick in texture before it is in inlayed to the wooden frame. The tonal striations that result from the horn’s natural attributes make each mirror unique.
With the Arno Nickel Wall Sconce, the placement of the light eggshell linen shade creates a modern cross motif with beveled edges. This silver sconce, which meets ADA requirements, is made of metal in a polished nickel finish.
The Arden Ivory Vanity is inspired by a 1970s reverse-painted glass antique our director of furniture Aimee Kurzner found at the Paris flea market. The vanity features ivory reverse-painted glass panels on the top, front, and sides with solid brass trim, hardware, and legs. The ivory and gold vanity has a beveled top, and drawers with soft-close glides. A beautiful matching vanity mirror is sold separately.
The Penelope Chandelier is made of wrought iron in an antique black finish in a traditional tear-drop shape that has defined some of the most popular beaded chandeliers in history. This blue chandelier has an unusual design detail to its credit: the brilliant beads are made of fabric and the gold beads are made of gold nuggets. This fixture is an example of how much pleasure we take in creating products from unusual materials.
Our Dalmeny Table Lamp is made of whitewashed rattan that looks both sleek and modern. The warmth of the natural wood base is an attractive counterpoint to the pale striated column of the beige table lamp that is topped with a Marshmallow Burlap shade.
Proving how powerful a design can be when material is applied and then scraped away, the Linus Black Box Set includes two nesting boxes that are made of solid wood covered in composite in black and white stripes. The black surfaces are then cut away in spots to create a texture that has an artfulness to it.
The Lauritz Wall Sconce has a commanding profile with curves of laurel leaves arcing out from the candle sleeve and an ornamental knob at its bottom. A design move of note on this gold sconce is how the sculptural leaves perfectly frame the wall plate. The Lauritz, made of brass in a satin brass finish, is certified for damp locations and is ADA approved.
The Evie Walnut Chaise is made of mahogany in a dark walnut finish. The wood-framed side and back panels of the roomy chaise are covered in ivory faux shagreen. This ivory chaise with its gold ferrules was inspired by vintage shagreen furniture from the 1920s. It has loose seat and back cushions and includes a lumbar pillow. The fabric is neutral beige with pops of brown and blush.
Only a special spot in a home will do our Dream-Maker Chandelier justice. Made of wrought iron in an antique gold leaf finish, the beautifully ornamented beaded chandelier is classic in its detailing. Clear beads swag along its frame in perfect harmony with the curved arms that drip luminous crystals. The gracefulness that is achieved with a design like this is hard-won, as the crystal elements are all fitted perfectly to this gold chandelier by hand.
Telescoping up from a stacked base, the Culture Blue Table Lamp is made of wood that has been finely finished in a dark royal blue lacquer that gleams. The intermingling of geometric shapes in such a lush color will make this a stylish addition to a space. Design details of note are the ball feet in a nickel finish that match the lamp's hardware.
Classically modern, the Camille Brass Screen has a smart juxtaposition of materials that includes Grade-A leather and brass. Cream leather straps wrap around thin rectangles of brass to form the frame of this gold room screen.
Our Rycroft Wall Sconce is a smart choice when a tailored design element is desired. The pointy rhombus-like shade, made of opaque glass, was inspired by a spinning top. Clarence Millari designed this silver sconce with a polished nickel finish on the metal. The Rycroft is certified for damp locations.
Celebrating the art of marquetry, the Sergio Chest is a mix-master when it comes to woodgrains. The species include oak, ash, elm burl, and mahogany. The diamond pattern on the doors was inspired by a floor our Director of Furniture Aimee Kurzner noticed in Las Vegas. She says, “Many patterns are not new but I try to find a way to interpret and/or present them in a different way either by material, application, color, scale, or repetition.” The black chest has two drawers, and the thin linear brass lips on the tops of the doors, which serve as handles, match the ferrules.
Designed by Tom Caldwell, the Glendenning Gray Lantern is a lantern-style fixture constructed of wood and iron that has a modern and natural feel to it. “By using a silver leaf finish on the iron portions and a dry gray wood finish on the remaining portions, we created a fixture that brings these two contemporary styles together,” Tom notes. "The large glass globe also reflects a more modern approach to this design.”
Our Serena Gray Lingerie Chest is made of white oak in a gray salt finish. Special features of this white chest are the decorative pulls and ferrules in a pewter finish, the shape of the stylized cabriole legs, soft close drawer slides, adjustable glides, and an anti-tip kit.
