Luscious Summer Color
New this spring are the Jackfruit Blue vases with vibrant gold interiors.
The Jackfruit family of decorative vessels includes the Jackfruit Cobalt Blue Vases in small, medium, and large. Made from a lost-wax process, it reads as if it is covered in the skin of the jackfruit. The inside of each bronze vase is a brilliant gold made of polished solid bronze, which will need to be cleaned from time to time to maintain its sheen. These brilliant blue decorative vessels are water tight so they will not leak.
New to the Imperial accessories we offer are the Imperial Green Long Neck Vase, the Imperial Green Temple Jar, and the Imperial Green Ginger Jar. These decorative pieces have their roots far in the past. The Imperial label is apropos for the porcelain vase because the pieces are made of clay sourced from the area surrounding the kilns that produced objects for the Imperial estate during the heyday of the dynasties. The formulas to achieve the particular green on each surface is a secret one guarded by ceramicist families devoted to the single color. The glossy, rich green was originally produced exclusively for those in high society.
Also new this spring are the Imperial Yellow decorative accessories. As with the green accessories, the Imperial label is apropos for the long-neck vase, the temple jar, and the ginger jar because they are made of clay sourced from the area surrounding the kilns that produced objects for the Imperial estate during the heyday of the dynasties. The formulas to achieve the particular yellow on the surfaces is a secret one guarded by ceramicist families devoted to the single color. The bright yellow was originally produced to represent the Emperor in the Forbidden City.
Though its surface is swirling with a motif that was born in an ancient culture, the Sakura Table Lamp is just as at home in the 21st century as it was eons ago. The pattern on the body of the blue and white porcelain lamp is a traditional cherry tree pattern revered by the Japanese as the symbolic flowers of spring. Sakura, as these flowers are called in their culture, swim along this luxe blue lamp sitting atop a steel base in a gold leaf finish.
The Mister M collection of products, which includes the Mister M Accent Table, pays homage to the fabulous color combinations used by the painter Piet Mondrian, the Mister M after whom this family of furnishings is named. Made of wrought iron and wood, the colorful accent table with three round surfaces have been carefully hand painted in lively hues. To this black table, the additions of red, yellow, and blue add pop. Presented as a whole, the collection makes a very strong statement of modernity and is an ode to primary colors.
With its bright primary colors in red, yellow, blue, and white, the Maura Chandelier is a nod to the continuing popularity of Mondrian-inspired design elements. The multi-colored pendant has fabric shades that are trimmed in black to match the metal frame in a satin black finish. The black lines bring a sophistication to this design that echoes one of the most important movements in modern art. If a smaller fixture is desired, the Mathias Pendant below is sure to please!
