Bunny Williams Summer Introductions
We’re sliding into our summer introductions, and High Point Market’s First Tuesday gets underway next week, running from July 6 through 8. With our latest product launch that went live last week, we’re offering new lighting from Bunny Williams with several chandeliers and wall sconces in the mix by this famed designer. A number of her products have remained popular in the showrooms so we thought we’d give you an early look at her latest designs.

In case you haven’t read up on her lately, Bunny Williams is a legendary interior designer whom is known around the world for her impeccable taste and design style. Her design firm, Bunny Williams Inc., was established in 1988, and her home furnishings collection, Bunny Williams Home, was founded in 2008. Having sourced Currey & Company products for many years, she knew of the brand, but it wasn’t until 2015 when discussions began to establish her signature collection. Her Currey collection is meant to enhance and to be used in conjunction with her line of signature table lamps because Bunny believes that a properly lit room is one that has light from many sources—the ceiling, the walls and the tables.
Summer Introductions by Bunny Williams
In the Bunny Williams collection, the Bailey Chandelier is a large chandelier with a two-tone finish: contemporary gold leaf on the interior and French black on the exterior. Ambient light radiates between the ribbons of wrought iron in a warm glow due to the gold interior. The black chandelier has nine lights so that glow is abundant.
A throw-back to a time when formal salons were the most popular gathering spots for the elite, the Bebe Chandelier designed by Bunny Williams has a wrought iron tulip-shaped frame in a contemporary gold leaf finish strung with clear glass beads. The light effervesces when it passes through the small glass globes to soften the illumination that flows from this gold chandelier.
The number of traditional design elements that Bunny Williams employed to create the Byron Pendant are numerous, from the fluted flourishes at the top and bottom of the black pendant, which are tied with circlets of wire, to the leaf motifs that flow along its frame. But the pendant, made of wrought iron in a French black finish, has a modern feel because the ornamentation is pared-down and pretty. The frosted glass globe suspended from a thin stem furthers the fixture’s contemporary subtleties.
Classically-designed lighting is a hallmark of the Bunny Williams’ aesthetic, which applies to the Wollaton Wall Sconce in her collection. Made of brass in a light Moroccan antique finish, the intermingling of finely design geometric shapes and the brass shade in a matching finish are details of note. The gold wall sconce is certified for damp locations.
Bunny Williams has achieved a timeless profile with the Warwick Wall Sconce that diffuses light through high-grade optic crystal tubes. Ribbons of wrought iron in a contemporary silver leaf finish hold the canisters of illumination in place so that the curved form is barely discernable from the front. This silver wall sconce is certified for damp locations.
The sheaf of feathers ornamenting the classic shape of the Bette Wall Sconce is a special design note, as is the brilliance of the Grecian gold leaf finish on the wrought iron plumes, arms, bobeches and wall-plate. This lovely gold sconce that is cinched in the middle to make it a beautiful form is in the Bunny Williams Collection, as is the matching Bette Chandelier. The sconce is certified for damp locations.
A Busy Few Weeks to Come
Bunny loves the natural feeling of the Bette Chandelier—a simple bundle of leaves tied with a rope but with such great style!
If you make it by to see us in High Point or Atlanta during the next few weeks (Atlanta Market starts on the 13th and ends on the 19th, and we’ll have a ribbon cutting for our new showroom in AmericasMart), be sure to find Bunny’s Bette Chandelier, which is popular in our product line. We’re excited to now have a sconce in the same family of fixtures! The new showroom information is now listed on the AmericasMart website if you haven’t visited us there yet. We hope to see you soon!
