New Winter Products

It’s been quite some time since we’ve launched new products during the winter design season—our efforts in the past few years focused on introducing new products during spring and fall markets in High Point. We needed a little cheering up this year so we decided to bring some bright young things into our product line. These include new Wright Small, Medium, and Large Sconces we’ve added to our outdoor lighting line. We’ll unveil several other standouts below but first it’s important that we bring you an update on our Atlanta showroom given winter market got under way yesterday.

Our outdoor lighting line has new additions this winter.

Atlanta Market News

Our new lobby-level showroom in AmericasMart will not be open in time for the winter market. The delay is being caused by the various construction and materials challenges we have faced, along with the self-imposed, COVID-related limits on the number of contractors and team members we can allow in the space at one time. We anticipate being fully open in February; and because this location is open year-round Monday through Friday, we can begin seeing regional customers there as soon as construction is completed. We recognize that this is a disappointment for many of you. Know that we are working around the clock to get it finished and opened—and once we do, you will find that it was worth the wait!

New Winter Products

The Galahad Blue Chandelier among our new winter products.

Cheering us up soundly in our latest offerings is the new Galahad Blue Chandelier, which joins the pale aqua counterpart in this family of chandeliers this winter. It’s truly a show-stopper that we know will get lots of attention among our lighting introductions durin the coming months. The Galahad Blue Chandelier has recycled glass and recast glass discs that are individually attached by hand to hang from its immense wrought iron frame finished in contemporary silver leaf. The size of this chandelier with its intermingling of clear and blue glass discs is impressive, as are the reflected hues that glint through the circlets that make up the shade.

Currey & Company Firebird Chandelier is one of our new winter products.

Proving the adage that the brightest diamonds have the most brilliant fire, the Firebird Chandelier has a handcrafted metal body onto which our skilled artisans attached graduated crystals that form glinting ribs. Ian Thornton, who designed the silver chandelier, says the fixture was made to have a “tromp l’oeil” effect in that the arms seem to pass in front of and behind each other like crystal ribbons. The contemporary silver leaf finish adds to the luminous sheen of the Firebird.

The Currey & Company Sabina Small Mirror.

Made of wrought iron in a gesso white finish, the Sabina Small Mirror has a wave and loop pattern along its circumference that makes it a playful element in a space. The crispness of the finish on the white decorative mirror adds to its charm.

Assyrian Bronze Horse by Currey & Company is among our new winter products.

The Assyrian Horse Bronze is made from a lost-wax technique where boiling bronze is poured into a mold covering an original wax sculpture that melts away. Once set, there is a very long process of refining the bronze to give it patina. The Etruscan style and the aged finish of this bronze sculpture make it feel like an antique.

Currey & Company Lollipop Turquoise Glass Vase Set.

Made from glass in swirling turquoise hues, the Lollipop Turquoise Glass Vases come as a set of two, one large and one small. These decorative vases will ornament their spot in the room whether they are filled with flowers or not.

Currey & Company's Bodnant Right and Left Wall Sconces are among our new winter products.

The Bodnant Right and Left Wall Sconces are made of wrought iron in an antique gold leaf finish. These modern gold wall sconces look cubist in nature with their angled intersecting arms that create abstracted shapes. These extend up to an off-white linen shade.

Pryce Cerulean Swivel Chair by Currey & Company.

Our first swivel chair enters our product line! The Pryce Cerulean Swivel Chair, covered in F0231 Buzzword Cerulean fabric, has contemporary lines in a shape that provides ample comfort. The pale blue club chair is perfect for those spots in the home where facing in multiple directions is a must, such as joining the conversation inside or enjoying the views out the window. The Pryce Swivel Chair is also available in muslin.

The Royce Silver Gray Chair is among Currey & Company's new winter products.

Director of furniture Aimee Kurzner says of the Royce Silver Gray Chair, “I really love this exposed wood front with solid wood fretwork.” The gray chair has loose seat and back cushions, and a fully upholstered seat deck. The chair is made of solid oak in our Winter Gray finish, which has tremendous character to it. The Royce, which is upholstered in F0236 Swagger Silver fabric, also comes in muslin. We also offer the Royce in a green fabric with Chanterelle-finished wood frame.

Currey & Company's Samara Table Lamp.

The Samara Table Lamp is a stunning glass lamp with dimples along the surface of its body. These and the dark gray stippling bring the lamp a textural feel without interrupting the luminous quality of the glass. It sits atop an optic crystal base and is fitted with a gray linen shade.

The Akimbo Table Lamp by Currey & Company is one of many new winter products.

The Akimbo Table Lamp is made of ceramic with a tan glaze that has a vibrant sheen to it. With its left arm akimbo, the shape has a visual sophistication to it thanks to the concave detail and cut-out. The optic crystal base and rectangular off-white linen shade are design details of note.

Privateer Floor Lamp by Currey & Company.

The Privateer Floor Lamp is one of our designs that mixes black and white in a sophisticated way. The long thin body wears a blacksmith finish and culminates at the base in a triangular accent. The finial and shade that echo the shape of the triangle, and the clever way the frame holds the disc of seeded glass are also notable.
